"Hanging on the telephone....."

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I have been trying to phone the Plane Tree Centre for three days, to confirm my attendance for an operation (as per THEIR instruction).

Repeated ringing no reply pretty much continuously.

Once or twice it sounded like someone picked up the phone at their end, only to replace the receiver!

Ended up calling an alternative number and asked for a message to be passed to them, hope they didn't lose the piece of paper! : (
