I was admitted to a&e on a Sunday morning after a road accident. I wouln't recommend a visit to a&e to anyone and the phrasing of such a question is idiotic. That said, I felt myself to be in good if somewhat overworked hands. My subsequent outpatient treatment at the eye clinic has been thorough, courteous and efficient. There is some inconsistency in the quality of telephone manner between different recepionists ranging from the blunt to the ponderous but they generally get things right given some patience by the patients. I might also list the things they didn't do, as others appear to have done, but that would be just a bit mad.
