Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your experience when attending the Emergency Department.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding.

We're sorry that you had such a poor experience on the occasion you describe.

Our Emergency Department at Tunbridge Wells saw over 6500 patients in September 2016, and while the staff work very hard to ensure that all patients are seen in a timely manner, on occasion, it can be difficult to achieve this and delays can occur.

We aim to see, treat and discharge or admit all patients within 4 hours of arrival, but this is dependent on the availability of inpatient beds.

To help support this, significant work has been undertaken within the Trust, including the reconfiguration of some wards, increasing ambulatory care facilities and improving the discharge processes to ensure that beds are available when required.

We hope that if you have need to attend the department again in the future, you have a more satisfactory experience.

Kind regards, The PALS Team
