"Excellent care in A&E"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Accident and emergency

My Mum needed emergency care after having difficulty breathing due to a chest infection on top of COPD. All staff who treated her were very kind, professional and took time to explain what was happening. I found all the staff good humoured and re-assuring. Mum has severe arthritis and could not get comfortable, she kept slipping down the trolley and each time was repositioned with care. Two people in particular went to a lot of trouble, positioning several pillows to relieve her hip pain. My Mum had been frightened to go to hospital and wants to thank everyone for the care she received on the evening of Sat 1 October.

We truly appreciated your feedback on your mum's recent visit to the Emergency department and that colleagues were good humoured, assuring and explained what was happening. Please be assured your feedback will be passed onto the staff concerned.

Best wishes to you and your mum.
