"surgical day case unit"

this is the second time i have had problems with this unit the first time was when my partner was getting a minor operation, i was not happy as i was not informed about his discharge i just got a phonecall from him and went to collecthim he looked dreadful and was waiting outside with his bag,he said he was confused and didnt feel well got him home and he was in agony i rang for advice and the nurse i spoke to had a terrible attitude i only asked what medication he had had so inknew what to give him as he had no clue i was left feeling they had no care or compassion towards myself and my partner, i did not complain as i just thought maybe they were having a bad day. Today my sister in law is having a operation and her mother called to see if she was ok and what time to visit she was told that there was no visiting and could not give any information which is understandable as of confidentiality, but she only wanted to know if she was ok and was told very abruptly there is no visiting she is in recovery and call back at 2. i understand they will be busy but there is a professional way to speak to people who are worried and anxious as their loved ones are in hospital maybe they need to consider this !
