I had to go into hospital in May to the opthalmology department for a full thickness corneal transplant. Upon arrival at the main reception of the hospital I was greeted in an extremely professional and polite manner by the receptionist which put me at ease straight away. After I explained I'm visually impaired the staff couldn't do enough to ensure I was well looked after and well accommodated. After my operation I was advised to stay in hospital given the magnitude of my operation. Whilst spending the night in hospital I was treated with the upmost respect and they ensured all my personal needs were adhered to. I would like to thank everyone concerned for making my stay such a pleasant and stress free experience
