"Hysterectomy"

I have just had a subtotal hysterectomy and both ovaries removed plus an extremely large fibroid. I am 44 years old and had never been in hospital before and I was very anxious and frightened. From the moment I arrived and spoke with my consultant, anaesthetist and the nurses, I was made to feel at ease & made comfortable. I could not have received better care if I had gone private. From the domestic team to the nurses (day & night) to my wonderful consultant - I was given 5 star treatment. My observations were done regularly and the food menu was carefully thought. The physio team came and made me aware of my aftercare and gave me very comprehensive literature. I was in hospital for 4 days altogether and was very lucky to have a clean bathroom right next door. I was in much pain for many years beforhand & am so very grateful to you all, you have changed my life.
