"I had a cataract removed in march. ..."

About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

(as the patient),

What I liked I had a cataract removed in march. Since then i have had problems with my sight in that eye. I have returned to the eye clinic 4 times, with the exeption of 1 doctor i have been made to feel as if i am wasting their time. Today i waited for over an hour past my appointment time and then rushed during the consultation. I was not given the usual copy of the G.P.letter and was unsure what to do about continuing with the eye drops so telephoned to ask, not sure who i spoke to but sombody looked through my notes and informed me that i had another eye drop added this was not told to me while i was there and for the G.P. to prescribe. The same person said she will speak to the doctor concerned on monday and will contact me to let me know what to do.This may mean getting an appointment, which will not be available for days then the chemist will have to order the drops as they do not stock that one all in all another week will have passed....no wonder my eye is not improving. What could be improved? Being advised that i a) need new drops and b) how long i need to continue with my present drops and frequency. Anything else? Feel let down by bedford hospital which i chose to attend as i thought its eye department had a good reputation.
