I am a student studying at Sheffield Hallam University and suffered a major head injury.
I fell during the winter on some ice and the resulting impact lead to a cerebral haemorrhage and emergency surgery. The surgeons firstly clearly did an amazing job as i'm still here and my haemorrhage was, from looking at the scans, huge. They also really took time to explain the situation and put me and my family at ease.
The aftercare within the hospital for the following weeks was excellent as well. I can honestly say it made the experience as good as it possibly could be. I am now fully recovered and leading a totally normal life from what could have easily killed me.
