I was first sent to Millbrook 3 years ago for treatment of a mood disorder & bad anxiety. During my time here I have been passed from Dr to Dr as they never seem to stay for very long & I have never actually met the consultant who's clinic I am under! Of course, every professional has their own opinion which means my diagnosis is constantly changing, along with my medication, making it near impossible to make a recovery. I was advised by one of these Drs to apply for benefits as I am not well enough to work, but they have gone against thier original words and told the benefits office that I am ok. I'm really disgusted at this. It shows a lack of duty to care, It took 9 months to get the 'no' and the Dr has since left, leaving me with no meds or help. I really was a believer in modern psychiatry but I now understand why every other medical profession looks down on it. If you want a prescription at half the therapeutic dose, a calm 'see you in three months' & a pat on the back, then Millbrook Mental Health Unit is the way to go. Otherwise, I highly recommend going elsewhere... Wow, I tried to post this review but Psychiatry isn't even listed as a department.
"Not very helpful at all."
