I was brought in by ambulance after ringing 111 to the Royal A&E. It was incredibly busy and they had no choice but to leave me with paramedics in the corridor who weren't happy as i was having breathing problems and tachycardia. Seen by incredibly efficient doctors and nurses who quickly started treatment. A nurse actually pushed my bed themselves into a different area to start my treatment faster. Was moved to ward at 1am and was left to it. As I said I had breathing problems and a very fast heartbeat but I however ended up in the spinal surgery ward! They were very busy and did there best but you could see they were struggling. I had another bad tachycardia episode which they quickly and compassionately dealt with. No doctor could be found until the third day of my stay to review me and the doctor was lovely too. I eventually had to self discharge as I wasn't getting any sleep or the correct medication for my other condition. I feel it was just to lack of staff. All the staff were great but there's just not enough of them for the work load! Im happy with my care for the most part and more than happy with the staff.
