"Long Frutrating Visit tio A & E"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

Arrived at 17.30 to Lincoln A&E, checked in straight away. The waiting room was already full, we found a spot to stand in, then eventually a seat. We waited patiently until 8.00, at which point I approached the receptionist to enquirer how much longer it would be before we were triaged. The receptionist said they would speak to the triage nurse when they became free. We continued to wait to see another 5/6 patients go through who had arrived after us. At 20.15 I approached the receptionist again to tell the receptionist that we were leaving, I also asked for the relevant telephone number to make a complaint. I appreciate that there are times when patients must be prioritised, however with the exception of a couple of people, the other patients looked no worse than my daughter. The only positive I could find was that the barrier to exit the car park was broken so I didn't have to pay the extortionate car park charges!!
