I had my drink spiked on a night out and passed out somewhere, I woke up in A&E attached to a heart rate monitor machine (not sure of the proper term) and was shocked as I didn't know what had happened or how I got there/where I was.
The staff were very rude to me. I was not aggressive or rude to them I was just asking what had happened to me and was a bit upset. I understand working A&E must be really stressful and didn't want to cause them any bother, and I know they think anyone brought in from a night out must have brought it on themselves.
However I think they could've tried to see it from my point of view, waking up in a strange place you'd never been before attached to a machine isn't exactly a regular thing, so of course you're going to panic at first - I think the rudeness was unnecessary and it has made me afraid to ever go to A&E if anything happens to me again.
