About: Eastbourne District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Nurse in MAU was extremely helpful and reassuring in updating me about the treatment of my 95 year old father and also informing me when he moved wards. My father's mobile phone had run out of battery and I couldn't contact him directly. my father was visiting the area when he was taken unwell and as a result I was a long distance away. My father has nothing but praise for the treatment he received. He felt that the hospital were extremely thorough in carrying out tests to determine his problem and efficient in then treating him. He loved the food!

Thank you for letting us know about you and your fathers experience of the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) at Eastbourne DGH.

This must have been quite a worrying time for you, given that you were a long distance away. We're pleased to hear that the nursing staff were extremely helpful and kept you informed.

Please be assured your posting will be shared with the staff on the unit, (and of course, the catering manager).

It's always encouraging to share positive feedback with staff.

They will be happy to hear that your father praised their care and treatment.

We wish you all the best and hope that your father is making a good recovery.?
