"Your not in hospital, your just staying..."

About: Pontefract General Infirmary / Trauma and orthopaedics

Were can you start, after waiting for my total left hip replacing for what seemed an eternity, doubts and fears of the operation become ingrained in my mind every hour of the day, please let me explain my experience and hopefully take away any concerns you may have regarding visiting pontefract hospital. From my addmission to my discharge was an experience hard to put into words,I was placed in room 2,a single room with on suite, the nursing staff, the domestic staff and physio staff were all caring and because of there way of keeping you informed about everything, you always feel that all thats going on is about you and only you,but obviously it is not its just the impression that these people portray on a daily basis.I was operated on on fri 23rd sept and by mon26th sept ready to come home, all the nurses and doctors and surgeon were fanfastic during my op,i chose to stay awake during the op and after some serious soul searching found that it was the best way for me, these people and the hospital championed by the NHS are testiment that our services are the best in the world,i hope i never go back to ponty but i will always remember 4days in september 2016 that changed my life forever, and beleive me it will change yours, thankyou always.
