About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Accident and emergency Royal Bolton Hospital Accident and emergency Bolton BL4 0JR
I cannot fault the treatment and care my husband received on Ward B1.
However, I have two concerns, namely leaving a nearly 90 year old dementia patient for six hours waiting for medication - the pharmacy department need a good shake up, surely patients ready for discharge can have some priority, he was left in the discharge lounge still in pyjamas with his 'going home' clothes in a carrier bag until 6pm, although I was told he was ready for discharge at 12pm.
Secondly, on emptying the carrier bag of his belongings found items missing, particularly his only pair of reading glasses, his soap bag etc.
I have rung Ward B1 twice to assertain where these items are and was met with not much sympathy, the latest message was waiting for the discharge lounge to get back them.
It might not be important to them but is crucial to a dementia sufferer's life.
I fully support the NHS and have previously received good service but am disappointed with this treatment.
