I was admitted to ward 11a on 1 april 2016 following a visit to A&E were gall stones were diagnosed.
I underwent emergency open cholycystectomy on 4 april 2016.
I stayed on ward 11a for 3 weeks and I would like to say that all my care was exemplary.
All the staff were kind, considerate and understanding.
They helped me and my family through a very difficult and always seemed to have time to sit and speak to me and to hold my hand through difficult times.
At all times I was treated with respect and understanding.
The medical team were fantastic, even taking time out during an operating list to speak to us with the findings of my operation.
My recovery is an on-going process but I am doing well and am now back at work.
I would recommend southport hospital to anyone.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone involved in my care.
