Had to take a trip to A&E a few months ago now, after obtaining very deep cuts to my face, needing several stitches. Can't comment on paramedic staff, as arrived under our own steam! On arrival at about 1.30am, reception were very friendly and although waiting room was very busy, was seen by triage nurse for an initial assessment after only about 30 minutes. Very kind and patient, telling me clearly I would need several stitches and would be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. Waited perhaps just short of 2 hours to see a doctor; I must say they were clearly tired and really felt for such a hard working team, but they were professional, efficient and considerate throughout. Kept me well informed throughout, as well as how to treat the wound afterwards. All in all, about a 3 hour visit. Can't commend the staff enough - very caring and hard-working, despite clearly being up against a very busy department. Thank you, RDE!
"Excellent care at 2am!"
