"I had a total RHR. My surgeon ..."

About: Wrightington Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had a total RHR. My surgeon was excellant and I had no problems after surgery. I was very anxious before hand but the surgeon and all his staff put my mind at ease. My only problem I had was that the food was dreadful and not enough cups of tea. Depending which staff were on duty on the night shift depended what time the lights went out. One one occasion the lights were swiched off at 12-15 (not good when all you want to do is sleep). |On the whole the staff were very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. Ward 5 is a very busy ward , my bed was down the first section and all we could see was the wall with a window above and we could not see any TV as it was at the top end of the ward. I might sound as if I am moaning but to stare at this all day long for 4 days it drove you mad.

What could be improved

TV,s on wheels, a certain time for the night lights to go out. When the dinner ladies came too us most times there were no potatoes and you had to have what was left. Needed proper menu,s so that you could choose the day before/early morning. It would be nice to have a mid-morning cuppa and a mid afternoon one.

Anything else?

The cost of the car park, blue badge holders have to pay.
