"Targets way from being met"

I was referred over 4 months ago; not being able to contact the hospital - automated appointment service want the appointment number I still don't have, I returned to my surgery to see if they could find out what was happening. Only to be told I still have to wait 8 months for an appointment. This being a further 3 times the target period.

Given that I recently started having epileptic seizures, having had no skull injury, no serious illness or fever, and definitely no history of drug taking, as far as I am aware the only other likely cause is brain tumour and I feel afraid that I will be dead before my appointment comes through.
