"no explanation from transport service"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Patient Transport Service

(as a relative),

My husband had an appointment to attend physiotherapy this morning, however we had a call yesterday from the patient transport service saying that they cannot take him to his appointment anymore but no explanation for this was given. This is not the first time this has happened. His appointment has been rearranged for around three weeks from now. I don’t think this is acceptable at all. My husband had a stroke and a very badly fractured ankle and he is stuck in his bed so he needs help.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Green693,

I am so sorry, what a nuisance for you both. I can ask the Physiotherapy team to investigate why this came about if you would like. If you could contact me on 01563 826222, or email me on Eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk I can check it out for you.

Thank you for contacting us via Patient Opinion, let me see what we can find out.

Kind regards,

Eunice
