About: Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

My appointment was 3.00pm. I was taken into my fields test at 3.00pm! 15 minutes later I was called in for my eye pressure check up followed by a 20 minute wait for the dilation solution to kick in for my next test. The technicians were cheerful and helpful and answered my questions comprehensively. This has been my experience for the last ten years or so. Don't know what more one could ask for.

What could be improved

The waiting area is an impressive space with vast amounts of natural light. Seemed good until my pupils had been dilated. Fortunately, the technician advised me of this and I was provided with a rather unfashionable pair of dark glasses. Perhaps the appointment letter could advise patients to bring sunglasses, They certainly would have been handy for the walk back to my lift and the journey home.
