"Unhelpful and un-empathetic staff"

My mother is elderly, hard of hearing, in her 80's and can only walk a few steps with a walking rollator.

She turned up for her regular blood test in the morning of 28/9/16 by taxi to be told she had got it wrong and the appointment was an afternoon appointment.

She asked politely if she could be fitted in because she always has a morning appointment due to the times her carer comes.

They refused and she had to wait 30 minutes for a taxi home again.

Shame on the receptionist.

While my mother was waiting for a cab, a child was fitted in because its mother said a lunchtime appointment was not convenient but my disabled mother was sent away even though she said she would happily wait to the end of the morning session.

Whoever she dealt with typifies the worst in NHS lack of empathy.
