"Kidney Stent"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I was admitted into ward D44 on Saturday 25th sept with kidney pain. I had surgery on the Monday afternoon I had been nil by mouth since being admitted. I returned from surgery around 5pm and given 3 different pain killers. During the night I couldn't sleep i was in extreme pain (I'm a grown man) and I was crying it the pain was that bad I asked for pain relief during the night and was refused! It was 5am after having no sleep before I was given paracetamol. I wasn't offered anything to eat until breakfast on Tuesday morning. After breakfast a nurse asked if they could make my bed I sat in the chair still in severe pain. After making the bed the nurse told me not to lay in the bed incase I went home later that day and they would have to make it again for the next patient. I hadn't passed urine since more surgery the pain was excruciating I told nurses who said I couldn't go home till I passed urine no concern given at all. It wasn't until spoke to doctor I was sent for scan and X-ray but still no pain relief. Had scan and X-ray still not passed urine it's 9:30 at night over 24 hours since surgery and I'm still sat here in agony with no pain relief worst care and compassion I've ever received no empathy from nurses wouldn't treat a dog the way I have been treat
