"My pregnancy ruined, the future yrs with my..."

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Maternity care

If I wasn’t seen to in such an abrupt manner by The Bolton Royal Hospital, in terms of giving birth with the rule of being seen to only if my contractions were no less than 5 minutes apart and then going home on the same day, the so called medical professionals would have realised the downfalls of my baby’s health during the days after she was born.

The unsupportive midwife showed no support whatsoever in assisting me to get back to the hospital, leaving a single parent who had only just given birth to work out how to fit a car seat and even after failing to realise the rest a mother needed after the birthing process never even saw how crucially important it was that my baby’s health was suffering and they should have told me to call for an ambulance.

At the hospital, I was left on a ward with my two day baby, whilst waiting for a medical professional to see us, surrounded by children who were in hospital because they were suspected of having illnesses, namely meningitis is the worst.

The possibility of my baby girl catching an illness on that ward was a huge concern.

After all this, a medical professional made up some very hurtful comments about how my baby was not dressed appropriately.

When she was.

What should be one of the happiest occasions in my life was ruined in a matter of two days.

It is costing the state a fortune with me having to fight for my baby, the fight is ongoing and I am dissatisfied with the Royal Bolton Hospital.
