"The hospital seemed clean."

About: Selly Oak Hospital (Acute)

(as the patient),

What I liked

The hospital seemed clean.

What could be improved

Treating people with dignity and respect should be high on the agenda for any hospital. The staff at Selly Oak Hospital treated me in an extremely humiliating manner.

Anything else?

I needed an ultrasound scan on my groin and was very worried about the procedure. A girl ushered me into the room and introduced me to the radiologist. She then left the room while I undressed and started with the procedure. To my horror she then returned into the room and walked past the bed that I was lying. There was no curtain around the bed and the girl could clearly see everything that was happened. She had no involvement with the scan she simply seemed to be doing some admin work. A little later on a man walked into the room and walked past the bed while I was undressed. The humiliation I was made to feel is impossible to describe.
