"Visit to A&E"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

I had to attend A&E felt as my injury was 2 weeks old I should not have bothered them but was forced to due to increased pain - I had a back injury and already had an existing back problem. I waited 1.5 hrs to be called through but staff apologised as I should have been called through sooner but it was not a problem, realise how busy it can be. Staff were professional and caring. They fully explained everything at every stage. I have worked for over 30 yrs in the NHS and have over 26 yrs A&E experience, I believe that credit should be given where it is due as so many people are so quick to criticise. Thank you.

Thank you, Dawn, for leaving feedback about your experience of our A&E Department. It is great to hear that you were pleased with the care you received from our staff and that you were kept well informed during your visit. It is particularly encouraging to receive feedback from a fellow NHS employee. We have passed your kind comments onto the team.
