Ward toilet had blood on the floor I told the nurses twice nothing was done until the cleaner was in the following morning. II hadn't even been on the ward for an hour and one of the health care assistants was rude to a patient then moaned about her bad back. I was then taken to x ray and the porter was moaning about the Polish people working at the hospital and about two Chinese nurses that talk in their own language over the patient.
These was no consistency, probably about 50/50 with the nursing care.
Night nurses were lovely.
During the day some were lovely caring and kind others seemed less interested in the patients needs etc not very caring at all.
The cleaner cleaned the middle of the floor then had to sit down because they were dizzy.
Food was dreadfully over done I can't see how you can expect people to get better when you are seeing them bad food.
One of the patients wasn't eating and had lost a lot of weight since being in hospital.
She was gluten intolerant, but most days they didn't have bread for her which was what she was asking for.
You would assume if you are trying to get someone to eat you would provide what they need.
Again some of the nurses were fab feeding the lady and taking the time to care some others seemed to look on her as an inconvenience.
It's a real shame as I say because a lot of the nurses were lovely.
