"my husband had an allergic reaction and suffered cardiac arrest"

About: North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

he was at caravan near lancaster. he was cutting wood and shouted I have been bitten on my neck by something. he said he felt dizzy. david from next caravan came over and shouted ring 999. they told us to lie him down and counted c p r presses which david did. the abmbulence staff and the 999 caller were brilliant. the crew worked really hard. at lancaster hospital a and e worked on him for over 4 hours. he then went to intensive care. staff were brilliant, so helpful. 4 days later he was in high dependency where the staff were really good. what a fantastic team they all were. he is now good thank you all so much!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of using North West Ambulance Service on Patient Opinion. It was very pleasing to hear that your husband received such excellent care from North West Ambulance Service at what must have been an extremely frightening time for you all. It was also good to hear how that excellent care continued at the hospital.
