Generally a good service given by A&E given the constraints bought about by understaffing . However it is important to address people correctly! Several of the staff used my given name and one member of the nursing staff addressed me as "My darling" which I found highly offensive , especially as my wife was with me !
What is wrong with the common courtesy of using Sir or Madam? I realize that a lot of younger people prefer the more informal approach - but a lot of us don't!
Perhaps it would be wise to ask patients how they would like to be addressed. On a positive note - hats off to the consultant who was first class.
