"Admitted for alcohol detox after seizure..."

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I feel bad for having to be admitted in the first place as as my heavy drinking over the years was self inflicted. However, at no point was I judged by any of the staff. I have to say from the cleaners to the ambulance crew, nurses, sisters, alcohol councillors, junior and senior doctors, they were all exceptional not just in my care but in the care of others on my ward, including one patient who was often very abusive to them. Absolute professionals every one of them, especially considering the current issues with under staffing and in my opinion poor pay for what they do. Even the food was pretty good! Well done Macclesfield Hospital you are part of a national service that is the best in the world. Keep up the good work x
