"Kindness, patience and thoughtfulness from all..."

About: North Middlesex Hospital / Accident and emergency

I have had to go to A+E twice in the last week, because of a swollen, red and very painful knee. The first time, a Sunday, I was taken straight through to the 'treatment' part, (I suspect this is because I have a heart problem), and spent several hours seeing various nurses and doctors, and having different tests. I was given painkillers, and told to come back if things didn't improve as no obvious cause could be found. Every person with whom I came into contact was kind, caring and professional, and many made extra efforts to check on my welfare - several nurses came across to ask if I was OK, a volunteer came to ask if I would like something to eat, and later another gave me a cup of sweet coffee to revive my spirits. 4 days later, although the pain had lessened, the swelling and redness were worse, so I returned, and this time, went through the normal triaging process, but I received the same kindness and consideration from a new set of staff on duty. I am 75, and one hears of neglect and discourtesy towards the elderly, but there wasn't the slightest sign of this on either occasion. I cannot thank these people, at all 'levels', enough.

May I make a separate point about giving feedback? Every time I visit the hospital, I get a text asking me to 'click on' a long series of letters and figures, starting with http://

I have complained before that I do not know how to do this. I can't click on anything on my mobile, (which is not a 'smart' phone), so I've tried copying the sequence into my computer to search, but am always told it cannot be found. This is the second time I have, therefore, found a place to submit feedback directly to the hospital. Unless something exceptional happens, I shall in future ignore these requests.
