I attended the Colorectal Department at Scarborough Hospital for examinations and tests during May and June 2016. At these tests I was treated with the utmost care and efficiency by all from the Surgeons to the Nursing Staff. I was kept informed of the results and possible treatments with compassion and understanding especially when Colon Cancer was diagnosed. I was operated on during late July and discharged four days later. The pre op discussions with the Surgeons and Staff were really informative and calmed my fears and gave me confidence to face the operation and the following therapy. The operation was a complete success and after 24 hours I was amazed how well I felt. During the 4 days spent recuperating the ward staff were considerate and efficient . I was discharged after 4 days and am now commencing Chemotherapy. So far the same care , consideration and efficiency levels are equally valid.
