"visitors to a & a on other September"

About: Barnet Hospital

I visited a&e following a post op bleed. I was seen in an ENT rooms as no cubicle was available.

The registrar said I was to be admitted and would require a Pico dressing.

I was then left for over an hour bleeding through my clothes until my wife found a nurse. Nobody knew I was in there and my notes were missing. When found, they showed I needed x-ray but the radiography had no record of it! I was eventually admitted to a ward and the dressing applied. I didn't see a doctor on the ward until the following evening when I was discharged and told to come back on Wednesday.

The doctor phoned me on my way home as they wanted to give me a discharge letter and antibiotics. My wife went back for them. The letter said Tuesday or Wednesday for the clinic. When I rang to find out which I was told Friday! What a shambles.
