I can fully understand and appreciate that there will always be a wait in using the NHS. Whether that's an outpatients appointment, in the emergency department or the minor injuries unit. That's Fine. But to be told after 4 hours of waiting in the minor injuries unit for a suspected broken finger, that there is nothing the staff can do for me due to x-ray being closed is absolutely rediculous.
Why, would you keep us waiting. I think there should be a clear notification stating that the X-ray department closes at 10 pm and therefore other arrangements may need to be made such as going to SMH or coming back the next day. As waiting for a consultation in the room is pointless. When I was called to professional were there, they did not introduce themselves and they simply stated the obvious. for example 'your finger is swollen' no u don't say!!! sorry to be rude but it was a horrible situation especially when you have childern at home.
