"Sessions and support for mums"

About: Beeston Central Children's Centre

(as the patient),

I would like more available groups for new mums and young babies in the school holidays. Having had a baby in the summer and breast feeding I found very little (in fact no) support in the community during the summer, so I struggled and persevered alone. The internet and mums forums was my life line but other mums faces would have been better.

I love coming to weigh and play to meet other mums and babies and compare info. If the clinic stops will the play session continue?

Hi Xxzoe,

Thank you for taking the time to post your questions and queries on this forum regarding planned changes to the Health clinics across Broxtowe.

We have listened to the all the messages that we have received and we are pleased to announce that we will be continuing to deliver sessions where you can access a health professional for advice and guidance while enjoying play activities with your child.

We will be offering a range of options for all parents to access which includes – Self-Weigh sessions, One-to-One appointments and a new Healthy Family Drop-In Session. The Healthy Family Drop-in Session will provide a range of professional services designed around supporting families with young children. Our team of professionals will be able to support you with Child Development, Family Support and Health.

Details will be coming out shortly – further information will be available at your local Children’s Centre and on our Facebook page towards the end of October.
