"A referral to the breast unit at St Lukes Hospital Bradford"

About: St Lukes Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

After confirming a breast lump was present I was referred by my GP to St Lukes. The system set up to do this was excellent and a week later I was seen in the breast clinic.

The care I received was seamless from seeing the GP having investigations and receiving the thankfully negative biopsy results in under a week after being seen in clinic. All of the staff were lovely, welcoming and the communication was excellent. I was told what would happen, when this would happen and everything went exactly as I was told it would.

I feel that the NHS is a frantic overworked under resources service but despite this I received excellent individualised care from an exceptional team. Thank you.

Hello, first of I must apologise for the delay in replying - there has been a problem with the site notifying us when someone posts a review, which we have just become aware of.

We are really grateful to you for letting us know about your experience, which must have been a worrying time for you. I am delighted that the care throughout was smooth and efficient, and that staff treated you in the compassionate and caring way we expect.

I will pass on your comments to the team, who I know will really appreciate it.
