I'd had a bleed around 6 weeks and came to EPU for a scan. The consultant was great and I left feeling reassured however when I had a further bleed at 10 weeks I again was sent for a scan by A&E and on this occasion i was told my baby hadn't grown past 5.1mm. so I was in pieces. I was made to feel like I number. I was spoken to with little compassion with the 'matter of fact' patronising tone. And when the nurse was informing me of my options they spoke so fast while I was sobbing. They stopped to say 'aw I know, it's awful isn't it' with some kind of smirk! Then followed it up with 'can I carry on'. When they finished I just left. And that was that. I felt totally uncared for. If I have the chance to be pregnant again I will not use Sunderland hospital.
