"Poor response to potentially life-threatening..."
About: Sir Robert Peel Hospital Sir Robert Peel Hospital B78 3NG

My daughter fell seriously ill whilst on a farm/house sit on Sunday September 11th 2016. She was so weak with vomiting and diarrhea that her boyfriend had to carry her to his car in order to take her to the nearest walk-in medical facility at the Sir Robert Peel Hospital, Tamworth. They both felt they were given very short shrift by the reception staff. and virtually told that they should not have come to the centre with a bug. Subsequently, three days later my daughter was admitted to hospital where she stayed for a week on a drip due to what turned out to be cryptosporidium. She received very little medical advice, empathy or treatment at Sir Robert Peel and so I would just want to register my concerned disappointment at the lack of good professional judgement afforded her at a time when she required decisive action and sound medical advice. They should have advised her to go straight to the nearest A&E for admission to hospital, something even a non-medical person would have judged to be an obvious next move. Very upsetting response and I strongly feel the relevant staff at SRP should be made aware of the suffering caused to my daughter due to their lack of professionalism.
