"Second to none"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Gynaecology

I was admitted to Ward 21 on 21st August for a radical hysterectomy following a positive diagnosis for endometrial cancer. I was a quivering wreck when I got there through fear of the Unknown, maybe not coming out and all the other things that go through one's mind at a time like that. Directly the staff saw me they were so kind and caring and put me at ease by explaining everything and talking to me. Right from the ward staff, the theatre staff and the gynaecological team I could find no fault. Each speciality explained everything to me and made me feel so cared for. The anaesthetist even let me hold the mask myself as I'm claustrophobic. The care I received was second to none and I cannot praise them all enough. My partner was even given free accommodation and car parking throughout my stay. Thank you everyone for restoring my faith in the NHS xxx
