I have recently completed a short course of cognitive behavioral therapy sessions due to experiencing prenatal depression and anxiety in the early months of my pregnancy. I am so grateful to have been provided the sessions through the NHS and have learnt some valuable techniques to handle and manage low mood and anxiety. Throughout the sessions I feel I was offered a great deal of support and given the opportunity to ask lots of questions. While I feel I am at a stage now where I no longer need sessions, it was made clear to me the door is never closed and I am really grateful for that.
With depression and anxiety affecting so many people, I would definitely recommend this service to friends and family and encourage anyone who suffers to get in touch with the team.
