What I liked
The doctors
What could be improved
communication, patient handling. The time it takes to actually see a doctor.
Anything else?
I am a 28 year old mother of 1, expecting my second child. My husband is some 20 years older than myself and although British we normally reside in the Far East. I am now in the 6th month of my pregnancy but suffered severe pain and attended A and E. after 6 telephone calls the the various maternity floors we were sent to out patients only to be told after a 2 hour wait that we should go to level 12. Following another 3 hour wait I saw a doctor only to be told to come back the following Monday for a full examination. We attended level 11 3 days later were it was decided by a most rude midwife that a translator was required because my husband would not be able to translate the "medical terms". My husband was totally dismissed and ignored when going through the various paperwork . We overheard the midwife refer to us as an "odd couple" "She only twenty and he's in his fifties and they already have one child, I really don't know what to do with them. Our treatment was appalling.
