"Told they didn't have the right machine at the hospital"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Oral surgery

(as the patient),

yesterday i went to oral surgery clinic in Queen Elizbeth Hospital. I was reffered by my dentist. The problem was the tooth under my crown was almost broken and it had to be removed. The crown is connected with a bridge. I had been in lots of pain and waited 6 weeks for that appointment. During that time i did two courses of antibiotics and still had infection underneath. The day i arrived there, after x-ray i was given further advice about treatment, which is totally acceptable.

But one thing i didn't understant that is i was told by dentist that they don't have any drilling machines which could seperate my crown from the existing bridge, so he cann't go ahead. I 'll have to go back to my dentist, they will chop the crown off and then come back to hospital for further treatment. As my dentist has the special drilling machine not the hospital!

And i was awarded by another appointment after six weeks.

And now i am feeling like a yoyo wondering alone what will my dentist say on next visit. And how much will they charge? As just 4 days ago i paid £50 just to get prescribed antibiotics from the dentist.
