"How sad"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital / A&E and trauma unit

How sad that this state of the art hospital with its magnificent new buildings and equipment has such badly trained staff.

No-one looks up when you walk onto a ward, no-one offers to help and the attitude of the staff in A&E beggars belief.

i know they are busy but it is very simple and hugely effective if you at least look up and acknowledge people and try to guide them to where they need to go.

If nothing else, it leaves the reception area free.

In my experience there have always been a number of staff standing talking (both in A&E and on the ward) and they literally ignore you - some actively looking away so that they don't have to help.

Unbelievable and very sad. I spoke with PALS when i last experienced this and was told that this sort of behaviour would be dealt with - now six months later i am saying the same thing again.

The hospital could use some help from Team Dynamics - an excellent organisation based locally in Bells Yew Green - who help with exactly this sort of client service requirement.

And for the record, i do not work for them but i have been a recipient of their invaluable skills.

Your staff need to be trained.
