I can fault the care I received whilst in labour with my first baby at Royal Derby hospital, my midwife and a trainee doctor were both very caring and patient. After being in slow labour for 2 days and being sent home from PAU twice my baby was finally on her way, by this time I was tired and in a lot of pain and feeling quite distressed. Upon going back to PAU for the third time and being 5 cm dilated I was put in the care of the midwife and trainee doctor, everything was going well until due to baby turning at the last minute I ended up having to have a forcep delivery, it was all quite frightening for me and my partner at the time but we were so reassured by the midwife team and the team that delivered our baby were amazing. They made me and my partner feel reassured that everything was ok and we was kept informed of everything they were doing and why along the way. Our baby was delivered safely and the care I then received on ward 314 was again a nice experience, I only had to stay one night but was looked after very well. All in all just want to thank everybody involved in delivering our baby girl, what a great team.
"Excellent care from start to finish"
