"Rubbish care planning"

About: King Edward Vii Hospital (Windsor)

Came in to casualty and first Doctor makes a big fuss until the Doctor remembers to put pupil dilator drops in my eye. Despite examination doc has No idea what's wrong and why my vision is blurry in one eye.

Told to come back to clinic.

Was promised a call back next week bcs systems down. Nobody called. Made another appointment. Upon arrival I am told I am booked into casualty because clinics are full, so have to wait, nobody knows how long. Nanny has to leave so not sure what to do about kids, and am being told by reception staff "I need to stay here bcs I've been triaged." Never coming back here again. Ridiculous.

We are sorry that your experience at Prince Charles Eye Unit was not what we would expect and that it was not made clear to you that you would have to be seen for your follow-up appointment in Eye Casualty. Please contact our Patient Relations Department with more information to allow us to investigate further. They can be contacted on 0118 322 8338 or by emailing talktous@royalberkshire.nhs.uk
