"Another thank you to the staff at Northampton's Labour Ward"

I would also like to say a big 'thank you' to all the staff on Strutridge Labour Ward and also to the staff on the Balmoral Maternity Ward (obstetrics) at Northampton General Hospital. The staff provided marvelous and dedicated care (without exception!) and the wards were all clean, thanks to the dedication of the staff working there.

I would particularly like to thank Caroline Thompson who delivered our son during the early hours of 24th August 2007. Her professional approach re-assured us and gave us confidence during labour and delivery and in addition she was kind and thoughtful to us throughout - I can't really find the words to say how much we appreciated all that she did for us that night - thank you so very very much!

Sadly I too had received negative stories of these two wards but as you can see from my experience what I heard could not have been further from the truth. I hope that anyone due to give birth will read this and feel re-assured that they will be completely looked after in a professional and very caring way.
