"I wanted more physio"

About: Westmorland General Hospital / Langdale Unit

(as the patient),

I got transferred from Furness General Hospital to the Langdale Unit at Westmorland General Hospital for rehab following a stroke. But I got little or no physio, got more physio at Furness but wanted more. Thought I would get more Westmorland General Hospital. Nurses in both hospitals were very efficient and very cheerful.

Thank you for your posting. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to feed back your experience.

I was very pleased to read your supportive comments about how effecient and cheerful the staff were and I will take pleasure in feeding back your comments to all members of the team.

I'm sorry and suprised to read that you received "little or no" physio. Physiotherapy is a key aspect of recovering form a stroke and one that we take very seriously. It is difficult to comment or investigate this further without your personal details, however I will raise your concern further with Physiotherapy colleagues. In the meantime f you want to make contact with me directly I'd be very pleased to support you further.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Best wishes,

Graeme
