"Mild Stroke"

About: Eastern and Coastal Kent PCT

(as the patient),

Last Thursday whilst driving my car I had a sudden attack of double vision, I had to pull over immediately as I could not see, it lasted for aprox. 4 minutes, I had 2 previous attacks during the previous 2 weeks but not so serious. I saw a GP at my surgery the following day who said that I was right to take the matter seriously and it's possible I had suffered a mild stroke. She said that I must attend a clinic to ascertain this but it would take approx. 2 weeks for an appointment. I know that the NHS is under severe strain, but everything I read on the internet about the subject says that such attacks should be dealt with promptly as it could be the precursor to a more serious attack, therefore I think that such delay is unacceptable.
