I was a nervous, anxious first time visitor who had been suffering with a problem with my speaking voice for over 13 years, I had twice been seen by local hospital doctors over the years, had speech therapy and even singing lessons, all to no avail. My visit to RNTHE in early September, upon my requesting to finally see a specialist, was a wonderful experience and may well change my life if things turn out as they may do. The total professionalism.and care taken of me, as an individual, was amazing, almost staggeringly amazing; within minutes I had been given a diagnosis of my condition, from two experts in their field who already knew a lot about me; this was something I had anxiously waited 13 years for; I could've wept with joy. Early days for sure, but a fantastic first experience - not just from the two experts who were indeed fantastic, but from every member of staff that I had dealings with from the moment I entered the buiding to my last exchange with a nurse as I left, to the message I received the following day urging me to see my GP about my rather high BP reading on the day..
